Investing in Youth Through Every Season

At A Place Called Home, we provide transformative programming that shapes the lives of our community all year long–and summer is no exception.

When school lets out, the doors at APCH remain open, offering summer sessions, paid internships, learning-focused field trips that spark curiosity and expand horizons, essential mental health counseling, and more. Then when summer draws to a close, we send community youth back to school with over 1,000 brand new backpacks filled with all the essentials, because every student deserves the right tools to succeed throughout the school year!

Every donation fuels a full season of impact. Your support directly changes the lives of South Central students and their families by creating opportunities where they don’t always exist and easing the financial burden of heading back to school so that students can return to class ready to learn and equipped to thrive.

APCH provides over 2,500 hours of academic support and interventions each year

3,000+ hours of mental health counseling provided to our members and families

We have distributed over $2 million in scholarships in the last 5 years

A Place Called Home Shaheen Scholars graduate from college at a rate 3-5 times higher than their peers
